October has been a busy month for W9UIH, even in it’s infancy! This past weekend, October 3rd and 4th, W9UIH competed in the California QSO Party, and managed to work 193 contacts in 52 out of 58 counties in California! Of note, we worked both Stanford, W6YX, and University of California at Santa Barbara, W6RFU.
But the month isn’t over yet. On Sunday, October 18th, W9UIH will be entering the Illinois QSO Party: something it has not done in years. Activating rare Jackson County, where the club station resides, we hope to have two transmitters running the entire contest, on hopefully all the major contest bands.
Afterwards, the whole week of October 19th to October 23rd, we will be operating in the biannual ARRL School Club Roundup! Look for us on all the bands, and give us all the contacts you can! For those without logging software for this contest, who are interested, it is FREE on N3FJP’s website.
